Since the initial discovery, governmental scientists, dozens of graduate students and nearly a thousand volunteers have worked to understand population dynamics, migratory patterns and health of this population. Each year there proves there is recruitment that suggests the population is growing and we are now seeing the result of years of conservation efforts on Mexican nesting beaches.
