Juvenile sunflower stars are staged on a slide using a special technique that uses modeling clay on the corners of the cover. This method allows Dr. Hodin to immobilize the young sunflower stars without smashing them, a method developed by his mentor.

After examining the juvenile developement, Dr. Hodin returns them to back to thier jars.
