Sea Turtles

San Diego, CA. November 23, 2015. Now that turtle fishing efforts in Mexico have eased, turtles are filling their old ecological niches in southern California. As a federally protected species, NOAA is now establishing critical habitat for sea turtles leading to more marine protected areas up the California coast.
